One £1 coin has been issued in 2018, the standard ‘Nations of the Crown’ 12 sided type.
Obverse Type 6 (bust design by (Mr) Jody Clark, dated 2018):
Reverse Type 26 (design by David Pearce):
Edge: Alternate milled and plain ‘sides’.
Mintage for Circulation: 130,560,000. They first appeared in circulation on about the 20th September 2018.

The story behind the design:
The reverse design by David Pearce represents the national floral symbols of the four countries that make up the United Kingdom.
