The story behind the design:
The obverse shows the new (for 1998) Ian Rank-Broadley bust of the Queen. The reverse is by Michael Noakes and Robert Elderton and shows the Prince of Wales in front of words that describe what the Prince’s Trust offer young people. The banner below reads ‘THE PRINCE’S TRUST – HELPING YOUNG PEOPLE SUCCEED’. The Prince’s trust was established by the Prince of Wales in 1976:
